![]() ![]() My question is, would that be worth it? How many years would I get from it as a secondary device, even if it's runnig Android 12? I'll use it mainly to read books, comics, study, note taking, research and surf the web. I found someone selling the Duo 2 sealed, it's not exactly cheap, but I can pay what's being asked. With a better processor, more RAM and specially the 90hz screen, the user experience on the Duo 2 must be considerably better. So while I'm loving the Duo 1, I can't stop thinking about how much better the second generation may be. It's just a shame MS seems to be abandoning not only the devices, but also this form factor altogether. I'm much more comfortable with the Duo form factor, I find the hardware incredible, but I agree the software is lacking. Assuming this works, a Microsoft Surface Duo tied to an Azure backend running a cloud desktop solution like Workspot could represent the start of a perfect storm a mobile client tied to a full. The dual screened device picks up a raft of bug fixes as well as improvements to the UI, the touch. My issue with the Fold is that the device feels very fragile to me, I'm kinda nervous using the inside screen and avoid using it for taking notes with the S-Pen. This week saw Microsoft roll out an update to its innovative Android powered Surface Duo 2. I also have a Galaxy Z Fold4 and was using it as my daily driver until recently, before that, the Fold was my secondary device, I was using it with an iPhone. I recently bought a Surface Duo 1 for very cheap, used but in mint condition, I've been curious about this form factor for a while. ![]()
